I like how you’ve been
highlighting one color and
showing variations and how to
use them (accent, wall). This
month was apricot, and I
LOVED it
(May, page 30).

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE
the bedroom
color in the May issue. The apricot
is still neutral enough to be cozy
and calming. I’d love to know the
name brand of the paint and the
color’s name. I’ve been living in
my new home for about five years
now, and it’s so large and boring.
I’ve been looking for inspiration
and this is the first time something
has grabbed me.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR
your
attention to environmental issues.
It’s quite a positive distinction for
your magazine. Please keep it up!
T
also enjoy the new segments on
organization each month.

1 ENJOYED READING
“Growing
Together” by Karen Weir-
Jimerson in your April issue
(page
246).
My parents also planted a
tree for me, in 1962 when I was
2 years old. It’s a silver maple and
it still stands tall and proud in my
parents’ backyard. I remember
taking pictures next to the tree
throughout different stages of
my life—in my Brownie uniform
at 8 years old, and for my senior
high school picture. It holds so
many happy memories.

MY MOTHER AND I
live about three
hours apart and miss living close
enough to do projects together. So
for Christmas a year ago I gave her
a subscription to
Better Homes
and Gardens.
Each month, one
of us chooses a project from your
magazine and challenges the
other to do the project. Some
months we plant, some we try
new recipes. When I pass on
your magazine to friends, I know
I’ve received something special
from that issue—something fun to
do and a memorable time with
my mom.

WHEN MY 8-YEAR-OLD
son,
Leonardo, saw your April 2008
cover, he was so inspired by the
daffodil, moss, and stone container,
he went right to work creating his
own version in his garden. When
your magazine inspires him to
create something so special, it
helps him to gain confidence, to
realize a talent.
